About this place
When one curry is not enough to choose from, nimo alcamo’s mixed-curry plate makes a welcome option. Choose two curries from A, B and C to bring different ingredients and flavour profiles together on one plate. One menu example, a keema curry made for eating with summer vegetables, is packed with ingredients; a spice-and-nut dukkah adds texture. The medium-spiced squid and clam curry combines seafood umami with soy milk and miso, and is described as a good match for brown rice. Another option is a medium-spiced chicken curry, with the gentle savouriness of chicken stock and a hint of mint. Pair the rich keema with a fresher, fragrant curry, or combine the soy-milk-and-miso curry with another choice—the pleasure of comparing flavours starts with choosing your two.
One diner wrote about ordering two curries with a daily side dish, which they enjoyed mixing into the plate. Another meal included 4–5 kinds of sides, offering a change of flavour between mouthfuls of curry. The selection varies daily and may include pickles, vegetable sabzi, lentil curry or raita. Rice portions range from a smaller 160g serving to a large 280g or extra-large 360g, and spiced boiled egg is also available as an add-on. One diner noted that the brown rice was worth chewing properly. Rather than rushing through the curry, this is a plate to savour bite by bite, trying different combinations with the rice and sides.
Milk chai and soy-milk chai are available hot or iced, alongside seasonal chai offerings. One diner enjoyed a seasonal chai with their curry, extending the pleasure of choosing spices to the drink as well. The restaurant offers both dine-in and takeaway. It is described as suitable for solo dining, making it an option for a lunchtime stop to choose and compare two curries.
